Chain Harrow CH (Gamekeeping)

Chain Harrow CH

The CH100/CH200 are standard chain harrow webs which have 4ft (1.2m) and 6ft (1.8m) widths respectively. As with all Logic products, these chain harrows are strongly made and perform a simple, no-nonsense task behind a suitable towing vehicle.

Flail Mower/Topper MFP (Groundcare)

Flail Mower/Topper MFP

The Logic MFP Flail Mower range comes in 1.2 and 1.5m cutting widths. All models come with quick off-set drawbar, anti-scalping roller, engine kill switch and easy height adjustment. Options include a choice of wheels alongside or wheels behind (to improve access through narrow openings).   Electric start and remote throttle controls are available. Standard flails or fine grass flails can be specified as a factory-fit option on ordering. A flotation wheel option is available for softer conditions on wheels alongside models only. Please note that wheels-behind options do place significant additional loading on the draw bar, so ensure that the towing vehicle is suitable. A jack is provided to assist hitch attachment and removal.

Ballast Roller BR

Ballast Roller BR

The BR150/180 has a 1.5m or 1.8m wide roller which is robustly made with a heavy wall diameter for strength and performance.

Rotary Mower/Topper TRM (Equestrian)

Rotary Mower/Topper TRM

The Logic TRM trailed rotary mower is a superb machine for the regular mowing/topping of larger areas of grassland such as paddocks, orchards, driveways, outer lawn areas, etc. Triple cutting blades and a cutting height adjustment ranging from 20mm – 160mm are the main product features but it is always worth mentioning the low ground pressure ability of these machines when used with an ATV as the towing vehicle.

The TRM150, 1.5 metre model is best suited for topping larger areas of even ground whereas the TRM120, 1.2 metre model is a more appropriate choice for use on rougher, more uneven ground.

Pro-Harrow LPH (paddock)

Pro-Harrow LPH

What does this do?

This is a harrow aimed at customers who are looking for a superior harrowing implement. It is far more efficient at removing moss and thatch from grass and has a stronger scarifying action. This makes it better at stimulating grass growth than a chain harrow as it allows more oxygen to get to grass-roots level. Spring tine harrows are also useful when seeding a paddock – harrow thoroughly, sow the seed then roll the surface with a Ballast Roller to firm the seed into the soil.

Why do I need one?

When using a harrow in paddocks, the dead grass is removed and scarifying the soil surface stimulates the growth of healthy new grass. If  re-seeding, the soil surface requires tilling first. All these things will help improve the grazing. If you need to harrow in awkward places (for example, reversing into corners) or easily move the harrow between paddocks, this version is for you.

The Pro Harrow can be used on menages to quickly dress the top surface and  is excellent on all-weather gallops, quickly grading the surface ready for the next session.

Fertiliser Spreader VC

A well designed but simple trailed low ground pressure chassis with a Vicon ‘wagtail’ spreader with 250/500kg capacity to allow use in conditions which would be too soft or steep for a tractor, with other uses being fertilising “strip-grazed” areas or smaller paddocks.

See LDS range for ground drive spreaders.

System 40 Spreader S407

The Logic System 40 spreader provides farmers with a low ground pressure option for tractor-sized equipment.

The Logic System 40 spreader is based on a Vicon 503 unit and is simply bolted on the unique cross-member of the System 40 chassis.

Where rough ground may be encountered, the tandem axle version provides additional stability. Equipment can be quickly remounted for tractor use in just a few minutes.

The System 40 spreader provides full spreader functionality in a way that can be safely towed behind an ATV. The unit can then easily be mounted on a three-point linkage for tractor use if required.

This brings complete flexibility to the task of spreading, allowing access to the land when the fertiliser is going to be at its most effective.

On Board Sprayer Range (OBS135S) de-icer

On Board Sprayer Range (OBS135S)

Spraying units of this type are ideal for specialist ice-melt liquids in sensitive areas where spreading de-icing products is not ideal, spreading Rock Salt would be too corrosive or where no messy residue is important, like hospitals, shops, airports, schools and railway stations etc.

Ice-melt liquids are super fast in operation for instant de-icing, have excellent adhesion to all surfaces and are fully soluble with no residue left behind. These liquids are usually more effective than Rock Salt at lower temperatures, even down to -30* C in some cases.

The OBS135S is sized to fit ATV or compact tractor type vehicles, where small size and weight are important for sensitive surfaces and tight manoeuvring.

The Logic 135litre on-board sprayer has been designed to fit onto the rear carrier rack of an ATV or similar mounting frame. Its rotational moulded tank and high quality pump are designed for use with de-icing liquids and are at the heart of this reliable spraying system. Fitting of the tank is very quick and straightforward using ‘T’ bolts supplied. The unit also comes with a complete wiring harness with in line fuse. The boom is height adjustable and has a break-back facility. All nozzles can be individually switched on and off. The kerb nozzle is very useful for spraying a pavement from the highway.

A handlance with up to 15metres of hose is available fitted on a hose reel or on a wrap around bracket. A 60 litre front tank can be added to either of the above models.

Terrator-Slitter LTA

The Logic Terrator is a towed slitter which produces deep slits in grassland surfaces in order to aerate the soil and improve grass growth. It is particularly useful for improving areas which have been damaged by heavy use. It can be towed behind any suitable vehicle, but is ideal for ATV use as this ensures that these damaged areas are not further compacted and rutted by the passage of towing vehicles such as tractors or 4x4s.

All those who work on the land know that soil structure is vitally important. Not only do you need the correct nutrients in the correct proportions but you also need soil structure that will support healthy and productive growth. It’s in the nature of the growing industry that equipment needs to be taken onto the land and this can create its own problems areas in dry, hard areas and wetter, lower-lying areas. Attending to good drainage is probably the first step in getting wet areas up to standard, but once the drainage is right, getting some structure into the soil is vital to bring the land into productive use.

The light, yet effective touch of an ATV and Terrator can help with this, and because it causes so little damage to softer areas, it can be used as often as is necessary to bring the land into good condition as quickly as possible. In hard areas, the Terrator is excellent for breaking up soil surfaces which have been compacted or capped, getting life-giving oxygen down to root level.

The Terrator features a 1.6m wide slitter and comes complete with transport wheels. The Terrator is towed to the ground where it is to be used. The unit is then flipped 180 degrees into the working position and the swivel hitch rotated 180 degrees. It is then towed across the ground until the task has been completed.. Optional ballast weights of 22.5kg (max of 5 permitted at once) are available for areas of very hard ground, to assist in blade penetration.
