Logic Manufacturing Limited is a British manufacturer of equipment for ATVs, UTVs, 4x4s and tractors. Founded in 1970 by Northumbrian farmer Willie Rutherford, Logic is widely regarded as the originator of ATV equipment in the UK. The company designs and manufactures its products at its main facility in Hexham, Northumberland, with a southern distribution centre near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Logic supplies customers across the UK and internationally through a nationwide dealer network. Learn more about Logic Manufacturing.
All Logic equipment is designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom. The main production facility is based in Hexham, Northumberland, where Logic has been manufacturing since the 1980s. Using high-quality British materials and over 55 years of manufacturing expertise, every Logic product is built to withstand the demands of everyday agricultural, equestrian, forestry and groundcare work.
Logic has been manufacturing ATV equipment since 1978, when the team recognised the potential of the newly arrived all-terrain vehicles as working tools for UK farming. Logic was the first company in the UK to design and manufacture equipment specifically for ATVs, beginning with a towing bracket and trailer. Today, Logic offers more than 15 product categories covering every major sector that uses ATVs and UTVs.
All Logic products are guaranteed against faulty workmanship and materials for 2 months from the date of purchase. On engine-powered equipment, the engine manufacturer's own guarantee also applies. After-sales support is handled through Logic's nationwide dealer network — your selling dealer is your first point of contact for any warranty claim or servicing need. See our support page for more.
Logic's reputation is built on four core values: Innovation, Quality, Choice and Integrity. This means developing products that genuinely solve real-world problems, manufacturing them to the highest standards with durable British materials, offering a wide range of products to suit different needs, and standing behind every product with honest, straightforward after-sales support.
Logic manufactures more than 15 categories of ATV and UTV equipment, including: trailers (off-road, road-legal, tipping and specialist), livestock and game feeders, weed wipers, ATV sprayers, fertiliser spreaders, electro broadcasters and seeders, harrows and aerators, rollers, mowers and flail mowers, paddock and yard cleaners, liquid bowsers, timber trailers, salt spreaders, de-icing spreaders and sprayers, and front-mounted attachments. Logic also offers a range of ATV accessories including security products, storage boxes, gun boots and safety equipment. Browse the full product range.
Logic equipment is compatible with all major ATV and UTV brands, including Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Polaris, Kawasaki, John Deere, Kubota, JCB, CF Moto and Kioti. All trailed equipment uses a standard 50mm swivel tow hitch. Front-mounted and System 20/40 attachments are designed to work with specific chassis systems — contact your Logic dealer to confirm compatibility with your particular vehicle.
An ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) is a single-rider quad bike designed for off-road use. A UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) — sometimes called a side-by-side — is a larger, multi-passenger off-road vehicle with a cab and a cargo bed. Logic manufactures equipment suitable for both ATVs and UTVs. Some products in the Logic range are designed specifically for one type of vehicle; others work with both. Product pages on the Logic website indicate which vehicle types each product is suited to.
Yes. The Logic System 40 range uses tractor-sized equipment mounted on a purpose-built chassis, allowing full-size implements to be powered and carried by the system. Several Logic products — including some spreaders, sprayers and mowers — are also available in tractor-compatible versions. Contact Logic or your local dealer for guidance on the right specification for your tractor.
For most general farm tasks — moving feed, fencing materials, tools and small loads — the Logic STT off-road trailer is a versatile and popular choice. It has a 1500 x 1000mm body, all-welded monocoque construction, a fully galvanised body, and flotation tyres for low ground pressure. Where a tipping function is needed — for example when mucking out stables or moving loose material — Logic recommends the TGT400 high-sided tipping trailer or the SDT heavy-duty tipping trailer.
Yes. Logic makes several road-legal trailer models. The XRT is a road-legal trailer large enough to carry a full-size ATV in its load area. The VT is a similar trailer designed to carry a UTV. The SXR features a "beaver tail" floor for loading smaller UTVs and ATVs. All road-legal Logic trailers include a swivel hitch for Health and Safety compliance. Off-road-only models such as the STT and OXR are not suitable for road use.
Low ground pressure allows an ATV and trailer combination to access land in conditions where a tractor or 4x4 would cause compaction or get stuck — particularly in wet, muddy or soft conditions. This is particularly valuable for cross-compliance purposes, where farmers need to carry out maintenance or feeding tasks without damaging grassland or sensitive ground. Logic trailers use flotation tyres and lightweight all-welded construction to minimise ground impact.
A weed wiper is an implement that controls weeds by wiping herbicide directly onto the weed's leaves, rather than spraying it across the whole area. The wiper carries a saturated rope or roller that makes physical contact with tall weeds as the ATV moves across the field. Because the herbicide only touches the weeds (which grow above the level of the crop or grassland), it avoids damage to the surrounding vegetation and greatly reduces chemical usage. Logic's Contact 2000 weed wiper is widely regarded as the benchmark product in this category.
The Contact 2000 is Logic's flagship weed wiper, first launched in the 2000s and widely considered the most effective weed wiper on the market. It features a unique contra-rotating brush system and hands-free control box operation, making it cost-effective, environmentally friendly and controllable in a wide range of crop and grassland conditions. The Contact 2000 is used by farmers, contractors and conservation organisations across the UK, and has received recognition from the Royal Welsh Show and the National Gamekeepers' Organisation.
In situations where weeds grow above the height of the surrounding crop or sward, a weed wiper can be more targeted, more economical and more environmentally sound than broadcast spraying. Weed wipers use significantly less herbicide, avoid off-target application, and can be used in conditions where spraying would cause drift. They are particularly effective for controlling docks, thistles, ragwort and rushes in grassland, and volunteer cereals in arable fields. Spraying remains more appropriate for broader-area weed control where wiper selectivity is not achievable.
Logic makes a comprehensive range of ATV and UTV sprayers to suit different tasks and budgets. The range includes mounted sprayers (fitted directly to the ATV), trailed sprayers (towed behind), boom sprayers for broadcast application, and hand-lance models for spot treatment. Capacity ranges from compact 60-litre units up to larger trailed models. Logic also makes the System 20 sprayer chassis, which accepts a range of interchangeable attachments for multi-purpose use.
A mounted ATV sprayer is fitted directly onto the ATV — typically carried on the rear rack — keeping the overall footprint small and making it easy to transport and manoeuvre. A trailed sprayer is towed behind the ATV on its own chassis and generally offers larger tank capacity and more flexibility in boom width. Mounted sprayers are well suited to smaller areas, spot treatment and work in confined spaces; trailed models are more suitable for covering larger areas efficiently.
Logic manufactures a range of livestock and game feeders designed for ATV and UTV use. These include the LMF Multi Feeder (a versatile livestock feeder for sheep, cattle and deer), the LGF range of game feeders for gamebirds including the LGF850, and the LCF chick feeder for young gamebirds. Feeders are available in several sizes to suit different flock and herd sizes, and are designed to be towed by or loaded onto an ATV for easy distribution across large areas.
Logic makes a dedicated range of equipment for the gamekeeping sector, including game feeders (LGF range), chick feeders (LCF), ATV sprayers for vermin control and vegetation management, weed wipers, harrows and rollers for habitat management, and general-purpose trailers for carrying feed, equipment and harvested game. The Logic range is endorsed by the National Gamekeepers' Organisation and is widely used on shooting estates across the UK. Explore equipment by sector.
Yes. Logic makes a range of fertiliser spreaders for ATVs and UTVs, including the LDS240T trailed fertiliser and seed spreader. Logic spreaders are designed for accurate, even distribution of granular fertilisers and seeds over grassland and arable ground. The LDS120T is a dual-purpose machine that can be used for both fertiliser spreading and salt spreading, offering year-round versatility.
Logic makes several salt spreaders for ATVs, UTVs and small vehicles, designed for de-icing roads, yards, car parks, footpaths and other surfaces. The LDS120T is a compact trailed salt spreader that can be towed by any vehicle with a 50mm tow hitch and is ground-driven — requiring no external power source. Logic also makes the GDS range of self-powered spreaders. Logic salt spreaders use a unique "moving floor" technology developed in the 1990s for handling wet rock salt effectively.
